If you have ever had a lapsang souchong tea, this is similar but milder.  Slightly woody.  NOT bitter at all.  I shove my nose into the cup and take a big inhale (managing to avoid actually snorting the hot liquid) and it smells lightly smoky … like sitting next to a small campfire made with a sweet smelling wood …  This is very nice … very nice indeed.

I like your Medium Roast Yaupon.  It was well balanced and gave me good energy in the morning.  I also tried the Green Yaupon tea, but it was a little too light / touch of sweet for me, although I may have not steeped it for long enough.

I really enjoyed your Yaupon tea.  My sister was in town (from Austin) and was familiar with it already.  We both tried the three varieties and I was pleasantly surprised.  At first there was a hint of earthiness, then as it steeped and became stronger and was very tasty!!  I did feel more energetic after a cup as well.  I will definitely buy this again.

I found the Dark Roast to have an earthy aroma and a somewhat nutty flavor.  The Green yaupon tastes earthy and smooth with a hint of lemon. This would be my choice for a tea to sip in the afternoon.

The dark roast is very smooth with a nice aroma.  The medium roast is not as rich as the dark.  The green tea tastes more herbal.  They were all good; I especially liked the dark roast and green yaupon teas.

I love the Yaupon tea!

It tastes like English breakfast tea but a lot smoother and has some coole subtle flavor notes. Honestly it's great.
