By supporting Habitat Yaupon, you are helping restore biodiversity to the ecosystem
When we harvest wild yaupon, we thin the dense forest understory allowing sunlight to reach the soil. Native grasses can once again flourish, wildlife habitat returns, and biodiversity is restored. When you drink Habitat Yaupon, you become part of this wondrous natural cycle of life.
Our Mission at Habitat Yaupon
At Habitat Yaupon, we are dedicated to nature conservation. We are working to restore habitat for plants and wildlife wherever we harvest our yaupon leaves. No longer controlled by nature with wildfires and free roaming bison, yaupon has encroached so aggressively that it has reduced biodiversity. Here in the Post Oak Savannah ecosystem, by wild harvesting yaupon, we can restore the grasslands and native plants and wildlife that once called it home.
